A pioneer of Myanmar pageantry and a social activist, Mr. Han Zaw Latt is a conductor of various mass media campaigns on social issues.

A public life
This young entrepreneur founded the Miss Golden Land Myanmar Organization in 2012 and the Miss Golden Land Myanmar Charity Foundation in 2014.
The world recognizes Han Zaw Latt as the world’s youngest national director for being the youngest person in the world to start and lead in international pageantry, at a very young age and by overcoming many obstacles, and for his dedication and excellence in this field of endeavor.
He produces role models to represent Myanmar and to contribute to charity and social activities in the MGLM Charity Foundation, and TV stars through his own famous TV show & one of the most awaited events in the nation, the annual Miss Golden Land Myanmar beauty pageant. Through his charity foundation, he has raised funds for HIV/AIDS care, orphanages, senior citizens, disabled persons, and victims of natural disasters and catastrophes in Myanmar. As a young public figure and young entrepreneur, he has also made motivational and inspirational talk shows for young people and education & awareness campaigns at various universities around the nation throughout the year.
He is a passionate and enthusiastic public relations professional dedicated to improving communications for the community. He is an extremely organized, dependable person who takes pride in his work.
He exhibits strategic knowledge and judgment and enjoys working in fast-paced environments & industries with a highly productive approach. He has experience in a number of media-related fields, on many topics, with innovative concepts. He has served as a juror, participant, facilitator, and organizer for a number of workshops, seminars, forums, conferences, and fashion & film festivals to develop the creative industry in Myanmar.
In 2016, his MGLM Org won the Best (5) Asian Top Fashion Organization of the Year at the Fashion Asia 2016 ceremony, among hundreds of organizations from the fashion industry all over the continent of Asia.
In 2017, Han Zaw Latt created the Mrs. Myanmar contest for women of any age who are married, single mothers, divorced, or separated, and for single women over 27 years of age. The Mrs. Myanmar contest has become one of the most effective women's empowerment programs in the country to educate, motivate and inspire women in Myanmar. His program has served as a platform to amplify women's voices for what they have needed most.
The Mini Mr. Myanmar and Mini Miss Myanmar contest by Han Zaw Latt is the most popular kids' event in Myanmar, showcasing Myanmar kids' outstanding talents and personalities.
In 2018, Han Zaw Latt founded the MGLM Training School for total self-improvement and confidence development for all ages in Yangon, Myanmar.
In 2019, Han Zaw Latt organized the Mrs. Asia International 2019 beauty contest hosted in Myanmar to promote the tourism and culture of Myanmar by contributing to the international community and to international exchanges. Twenty-six representatives from the continent of Asia participated in the contest, which was held in Mandalay and at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bagan, Myanmar.
In 2018, Han Zaw Latt produced the TV series “The Sun, the Moon, the Truth” as a production designer, in cooperation with the Pyoe Pin Institute, MyJustice, the British Council, and the European Union, as a community contribution program and public service announcement. The series aired on national TV channels and various social media platforms.
In a matter of months, the life I had spent my youth building vanished.

Charity
In December 2018, Han Zaw Latt served as an official partner of “Be The Change Myanmar” by UAB Bank to support 1,000 underprivileged children at Christmas.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Han Zaw Latt and his organization documented the aid they provided to Bago’s citizens in need. They provided medicine, food, blankets, mosquito nets, pillows, beds, and money to families in need. The organization has raised 12,000 USD and provided long-term support to those families.
During the outbreak of COVID-19 in Myanmar in July 2021, Han Zaw Latt donated 10,000,000 MMK for oxygen for COVID-19 patients through ten different charity organizations that help the people of Myanmar.

The rupture
Since the Burmese military coup in February 2021, Han Zaw Latt has been actively involved as an activist in various campaigns and movements against the military coup to restore democracy and fundamental human rights in Burma (Myanmar). He stands for freedom and justice. When the military targeted him for arrest, he had to move from one place to another and escape to the border area of Burma (Myanmar) with the help of the Free Burma Rangers. In December 2021, he had to move to the United States as a refugee due to the high risk to his security and safety.
Psychology did not erase my suffering. Instead, it did something more valuable: it helped me understand it.

The work
Han Zaw Latt produces People to People (in Burmese ပြည်သူမှ ပြည်သူသို့), a TV program of interviews with the Union Ministers and government officials of the National Unity Government of Myanmar (NUG) and our civilian leaders. The program broadcasts weekly on TV channels and various social media platforms. The main objective of the “People to People” program is better communication between the NUG and the public, in a valuable and meaningful way, by creating genuine connections with the public and building their trust.
Currently, Han Zaw Latt serves as the Director General of the Bureau of Strategic Communications (BOSC) of the National Unity Government of Myanmar. BOSC bridges communication gaps between the NUG and the public, the NUG and the world media, and the NUG and the international community in a valuable, unique, and strategic way by creating genuine connections with the public and building their trust. BOSC provides comprehensive communication services to the ministries of the NUG and the people of Myanmar as a high-quality, accurate, and timely provider of NUG information, using all available forms.
Han Zaw Latt continues to be active in the revolutionary movements for the people of Burma (Myanmar), cooperating with various organizations and communities for the freedom of Burma (Myanmar).
Over the past 3 years, Han Zaw Latt has also co-founded two organizations: New Generation Myanmar, a K-12 virtual school, and Well Burma. New Generation Myanmar has educated over 2,500 students across Myanmar through its virtual platform. Engaging with students of all backgrounds and circumstances, it provides an opportunity for thousands of children to receive quality education from a distance. The school offers GED and language programs in addition to the standard curriculum. Well Burma is a registered 501(c)(3) charity organization that provides essential support to IDP camps and disaster-stricken areas in Myanmar. The organization focuses on immediate response and sustainable solutions for those afflicted by the ongoing civil war.
